The Eight Building Blocks of Life

I was listening to a replay of a conference call arranged by Success University. The conference call was about The Eight Building Blocks of Life. We were given the mnemonic “CHECKERS“. Career; Health; Economic (Finance); Communication; Knowledge; Emotions; Recreation; Spiritual. Although not identical, most of these are similar to the seven segments of The Wheel of Life I talked about in Part 1. As with The Wheel of Life, if you would like more details about The Eight Building Blocks of Life, please let me know. Many people who watched the DVD The Secret, believe what is required is ASK: BELIEVE; RECEIVE. Some of the people realise there is a big missing link, a need to ACT. From my experience I look at this a different way.

Why would I need Personal Mental Growth?

When I left school a proportion of job seekers were looking for jobs in banks and insurance companies. Because I did not get a scholarship to go to University to train to be a Doctor, I joined the number of school leavers seeking a safe option of a job for life. I chose what has now become the financial industry and in fact I was given employment in the Prudential Assurance Company in their newly created mechanisation department (in later years this became Data Processing and then Information Technology Department). I have just returned from a brief holiday in America to visit my daughter and her husband for Thanksgiving. This was the first Thanksgiving celebration I have attended. Also there was a deer hunting season over the time I was with my American family, and as my son-in-law is a hunter I got to know first-hand the gory details of what happens before meat gets on to a plate on the table. i m a 21 year old student. i m stammering for very long time. i just had speech therapy it work a little but my main problem is psychological. i just don’t know what to do ?

Dear student, I am 70 years old and I have stammered since I started to speak. Since 2006 I have been finding out how to improve my communication.

First. I learned that only I, no one else, can improve my communication. No therapist, no parent, no friend, just me and me alone.
